Harmonizing for Harmony House!

On August 25, 2014, our Group Therapy quartet was delighted to perform as the surprise entertainment at a Fashion FUNraiser hosted by the Camelot Golf and Country Club at Shepherd’s Fashions Trainyards location. The event was in support of Harmony House, the only second-stage women’s shelter in Ottawa, now marking 25 years of helping women and children rebuild their lives after domestic violence.

May 2014 – “Happy Birthday, Shenkman Arts Centre!”

On May 31, 2014, the Capital Chordettes were delighted to help the Shenkman Arts Centre celebrate its 5th Anniversary by singing Happy Birthday/Bonne Fête as birthday cupcakes were handed out to the crowd by Councillor Monette. The chorus also performed in concert later in the afternoon as part of a day-long “spectacle” of visual and performing arts groups.”


May 2014 – “Harmony for Hope Spring Concert”

On May 22, 2014, the Capital Chordettes were very pleased to partner with Ottawa Innercity Ministries to present “Harmony for Hope”, a concert showcasing our varied and entertaining repertoire. Chapter quartets “Sounds like Fun”, “Sleepless” and “Group Therapy” also contributed to the evening. Ottawa Innercity Ministries is a charitable organization dedicated to those affected by homelessness and poverty, utilizing biblical justice, social justice and advocacy to promote change.”

April 2014 – Entertaining at Alta Vista Manor

On April 6, 2014, the Capital Chordettes along with “Holiday Harmony” performed for the residents of the Alta Vista Manor retirement home, who themselves contributed to the afternoon in a lively sing-along, led by Assistant Director Kim Vronick.


The Capital Chordettes are a not for profit organization and hold various fundraisers throughout the year to fund travel and costumes. A portion of all monies raised is donated to our chosen charity, Children At Risk.
