As a continuation of the camaraderie and friendship forged last October, the Heart of the Hills Chorus joined the Macomb County Chapter’s Guardians of Harmony Chorus to compete in this year’s annual Pioneer District Chorus Contest, held in Battle Creek, MI on April 21. The combined chorus, comprised of 31 men, competed as the Guardians of Harmony and garnered a 4th place finish of the 13 choruses that participated in the competition.
The time spent preparing for the contest as a combined group helped foster an even greater brotherhood between these two fine choruses and both choruses are looking forward to additional upcoming combined performances in and around the greater Oakland and Macomb county areas.
The 31-man combined chorus calms the pre-contest nerves and enjoys some fine camaraderie before going on stage for their 4th place contest set.
