QUARTET VISITS PRESTON.. At Preston High School, Valentine's Day Is always a day that the students celebrate with candy and flowers. However, this year a special teacher was given a Valentine and it included music, as well. Sr. Laura Donovan was surprised by a singing quartet that serenaded her as students, teachers and administrators looked on. The quartet, from the Westchester Chordsmen Chorus, was a Valentine's Day gift from two English teachers, Pat Bindert and Christine Fortini. They wanted to surprise Sr. Laura who goes above and beyond in her roll as Dean of Students and Science Department Chair at Preston. They chose the singing quartet because Sr. Laura's father also sang in a quartet; therefore, the performance brought back many fond memories. The quartet did such a wonderful job that both Sr. Laura and members of the Preston community will remember this Valentine's Day for years to come.
