Dusty has over 16 years of barbershop singing experience. He is a second generation barbershopper, and "grew up" singing with the Phoenicians of Phoenix, Arizona, a 3-time International Champion Men's Chorus. He served as an assistant director with the Phoenicians, and directed the Mesa, Arizona Lamplighters chorus from 1998-2000. Over the years he has sung in many popular Far Western District quartets including "Alliance" & "Legacy". In June of 2000, a job opportunity with Reed Exhibitions brought Dusty to Connecticut. In 2002 he won the Northeastern District Championship with "Prelude". Since then, he has competed on the International stage with his quartet, "Resolution". Also of note is that Dusty is now a judge candidate in the Presentation Category. In early 2001, Dusty became the musical director of the Coastal Chordsmen of Bridgeport, Connecticut. In August of 2002, he took over as Director of the Westchester Chordsmen. He resides in Naugatuck, CT with his wife, Amy, who is a member of the Harmony on the Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus.
