"Learn - Perform - Compete..."

Meet a Member!

Hi! Welcome to the Membership Page! My name is Debbie Verbillis and I'm the current Membership Coordinator for the Upper Chesapeake Chorus (UCC). You may reach me 410 638-6802 or by email at debverb (at) aol.com

UCC is a competitive, performance-oriented, award-winning a cappella barbershop chorus comprised of fifty energized women ranging in age from 20's to 70's. We come from diverse backgrounds: college students, professional women, stay-at-home women, singles and retirees. We claim members from Harford County, Baltimore County, Montgomery County and Cecil County. We all have one thing in common... our love of a cappella four-part harmony, especially barbershop music.

Our current repertoire includes show tunes, standards, religious and patriotic songs and the fabulous 50's, just to give you an idea of what we do.

We currently rehearse on Monday Evenings at 7:00 at this location.

Just call me at 410 638-6802 or email at debverb (at) aol.com and I will be delighted to give you directions to the rehearsal site and chat with you. Some of us go out every Monday night after rehearsal and we invite you to come along. We do love to socialize!

Treat yourself to a "night out". I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

In Harmony,
Debbie Verbillis

  • Lacey was born and grew up in Oakland, Maryland, that's in Garrett County.
  • Lacey went to Garrett College and majored in Elementary Education.
  • She presently works at Nutramax Laboratories in the Veterinary Division.
  • UCC was enhanced in the TENOR section when Lacey joined the chorus two years ago.
  • Lacey played in the school band from 4th grade up until she graduated. She can play the drums, piano and baritone.
  • She also was the Queen of Karioke at the Honi Honi Bar at Deep Creek Lake.
  • She found out about UCC after seeing a poster on a lamp post at Walgreens on 924.
  • She surprised us all recently and got a Sweet Adeline tattoo on the top of her foot!
  • She enjoys attending concerts and shows and is a BIG Bette Midler fan.
... UCC is lucky to have Lacie as one of our outstanding tenors!
