Timberliners Performances 61st Annual Harmony Festival at Chautauqua Every summer since 1950, the Boulder Chapter has hosted an annual Barbershop Harmony Festival at the Boulder Chautauqua Auditorium. This year's show will be on Saturday July 24. The show features quartets and choruses from up and down the Colorado Front Range, including both men's and women's groups, and is a perennial family favorite. In addition to the individual groups strutting their stuff, a highlight will be several songs performed by a mass chorus consisting of well over 200 singers on stage at once. This is family entertainment that can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of age. The director for the mass chorus songs will be Matt Swann. Matt sang with the Vocal Majority chorus near Dallas when they won an International God Medal. He currently resides in Denver, sings with the Sound of the Rockies chorus, arranges music for various groups and is one of the directors for 52eighty, a youth chorus that won Grand Champion at the Youth Chorus Festival last January. He will be in charge of melding the expected 200 singers into a harmonious mass chorus for several of the evening's presentations. Singing Valentines Each February 14, individual quartets from the Timberliners deliver Singing Valentines in the Boulder area. Fifty dollars will buy you one long-stemmed rose and two love songs performed by a Barbershop Quartet from the Boulder Timberliners. Other Performances We also do sing-out performances for community organizations at frequent intervals during the year.
