Carolyn was lost in a fatal crash September 28, 1995 that destroyed the pictured CAF B-26 and all five crew members on board.  The aircraft came down in a field near Marine, Texas south of Odessa.

The B-26 (S/N 41-35074) N5546N was acquired by the CAF in November 1967.  Then in October 1975 a restoration project began to bring her back to flying condition.

This section is dedicated to those that died trying to preserve this beautiful aircraft for future generations, those that flew her through thousands of missions during WWII, and to their families to whom we express our deepest sympathy.
