- Knights of Harmony on stage at the State Fair Musical's Music Man with Eddie Albert.
- The dedication of longtime (and long ago) member Chester Howard to the old songs. His collection of hundreds of them went to International Old Song Library after his death.
- The Nighthawks singing of "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?" at the 1960 International in Dallas.
- The 1960 International Convention in Dallas (only one in Dallas) and the audiences' loud disapproval of the judges pick of the winning quartet. The audience thought the gold should have gone to the Nighthawks.
- The night Hank Lewis actually smiled!
