In an effort to give an opportunity of special
recognition to many fine comedy quartets from around the Southwestern District
and expand the annual Spring Conventions, this unique contest was established.
1982 was the first contest and many good laughs have followed. Differing
from the serious contest, the Comedy Contest is judged by "celebrity judges".
