C J Bowes - Lead
CJ's interest in music started at an early age. He played an instrument from grade school through college. (Thanks Mom and Dad for the lessons and for making me practice when I didn't want to.) He found he couldn't devote enough time to both music and engineering, so the music had to go, but the foundation had been laid. Time passed. One Sunday in church, someone in front of him turned around and said he had a nice voice and should join the choir. That was his first singing experience. Choir in turn led to:
- Forming a mixed a cappella octet
- Singing musicals in local theatre
- Singing in The Music Man, his first barbershop experience
- Joining the Orange Empire Chorus
- Singing in Sound Choice
CJ is now now in his third year of barbershopping. His main interest in singing barbershop is to entertain. He hopes you are able to attend one of our performances and that you have as much fun as we do on the stage.When he's not singing barbershop or workin' for the man, CJ likes to ride around town on his motorcycle and take classes at local colleges/universities. And he's a Capricorn. |
