André Carrière

André
Carrière resides in Ottawa, Ontario and is married to Paulette and the proud
father of two sons Marc and Alain, and grandfather of three.
He retired in the year 2000 having worked for a local concrete products manufacture for thirty eight years as a comptroller in their accounting department.
André has been a member of the Capital City Chorus for 26 years singing lead and then ventured into the baritone part when he joined "As Time Goes By" in 2001.As a member of the CCC, André served on the executive board as Treasurer, and was former Baritone and Lead section leader for a number of years.
In 2001, André had the honours of being awarded "Barbershopper of Distinction" in his chapter, and had the privilege of competing on the Int’l stage with the CCC as Ontario District representatives in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1986 and Nashville TN in 2008 and also as the Senior Quartet rep. on five occasions with Play It Again!.
Soon after joining the Capital City Chorus in 1981, André was invited to sing in a Quartet as Lead and now has six registered quartets to his credit. Besides the success with "Play It Again!", André became an Ontario District Senior champ in 1996 as a member of "A Special Event".
