Acapella, Barbershop Style   

COURSE DESCRIPTION

For anyone interested in learning how to sing in four-part harmony without accompaniment, this  course is for you! Combining theory and hands-on, the student completes the course not only with an understanding of acapella four-part harmony in the Barbershop style, but the ability to actually sing it. This is a total immersion experience! The student is given all music and a training CD to keep.

Course covers: What is Barbershop Harmony, Sound Production, Interpreting Written Scores, Creating Expanded Sound, and Stage Presence. The student also gets a chance to sing with the award winning Pine Barons Chorus on the last night.

This course is provided by The Cherry Hill Pine Barons Chorus as an ongoing contribution to the South Jersey Community of which we are a proud part. Instruction is provided by members of the Chorus.

TIME:  Mondays 7:30 to 9:30PM

LOCATION:  St. Andrews Methodist Church(basement)

Rt.70&41, Cherry Hill, NJ

STARTING:  Fall semester,  October 15 - November 19 (6 week course)
