| We
rehearse every Tuesday evening, starting at 6:45 p.m. and going
until 9:30 p.m. at the Northminster Presbyterian Church located at
1100 East Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida (across the street
from Fitness Works). (Click
here for a map.)
After rehearsal, some members partake in what barbershoppers
call Afterglow at various local establishments. Afterglow is an
hour or so of imbibing in your favorite beverage and maybe a
snack. If at least one person of each singing part attends, we
often entertain the crowd with some good ol' barbershop music.

Director KAREN JORDAHL
|
"What's
in a name?," said Shakespeare. Ask any member of the Fiesta
Barbershop Chorus and he will tell you what's in the name
"Karen Jordahl." Five years ago, the chorus lost our
director. As fate would have it, Jeb Stewart heard that Karen
Jordahl and her husband Ken, both very well known in the
barbershop and Sweet Adeline world, were retiring to Foley,
Alabama, from Chicago, Illinois. We contacted the Jordahls and
Karen lovingly accepted the position as our new director. Karen
has taken the chorus to new heights. Folks who have attended our
shows, church sings, etc., have said that we've never sounded
better -- that we have a new confidence that shows. |
