All the members of the OMEGA
barbershop quartet, created in 2004, have sung and
competed in other quartets and bring a rich level of
maturity and experience to the stage.
Tenor Jack Champlin, a Barbershop
Harmony Society member for 46 years, has sung in a
number of quartets as lead, baritone or tenor in Florida
and Ohio and is a retired insurance agent.
Lead Buddy Stewart, a senior
transportation designer with Hatch Mott McDonald, also
sings lead with the “Ad Hoc Singing Committee” and
is the son of OMEGA bass Jeb Stewart.
Bass Jeb Stewart, a 45 year BHS
member and retired Air Force pilot and college
professor, is also the bass in “Ad Hoc Singing
Committee”, and
before that was the bass in the “Brigadeers”, 1969
Dixie District champions, “Song Machine”, 1971
Sunshine District champions, and “The Panhandlers”,
1999 Sunshine District senior champions.
Baritone Dave Doheny, a multi-part
singer, is
currently the tenor of
“Ad Hoc Singing Committee”, was formerly the
tenor of “The Chordsmen” and has recently retired
from service with the U. S. Civil Service after
previously retiring from the U. S. Navy.
