Tenor Jeff Liebknecht directs the Carroll County, MD Chapter,and has been a member of three of the chapter’s registered quartets since he joined the Society in 1987: Century
One, Soul Purpose, and Gentlemen’s Blend. He lives in Timonium with his wife, Mary.
Bass Larry Klein is a retired electrical engineer, having spent 38 years with the Johns Hopkins University Applied
Physics Laboratory in Laurel. He’s been singing barbershop since 1972 and currently holds membership
in two chapters: Patapsco Valley and Dundalk, MD. Larry has sung bass in several quartets over the years, is
a charter member of the Atlantic Harmony Brigade and also is a member of the NC Harmony Brigade. When
not singing, he can be found in his woodworking shop involved in his cabinet-making hobby. Larry and his wife,
Mel, live in Columbia, MD, have three daughters, one son and four grandsons.
Lead Ed Herring is a relatively new member of this foursome. He sings both baritone and lead and is a member of the Carroll County, MD, and Harrisburg, PA, chapters.
He also sings in the Methodist church choir as he has for 40 years. He is a charter member of the Atlantic Harmony Brigade.
Baritone Harvey Feldman is the founding member of the quartet. Retired after 35 years of Federal service, he
has played trumpet in local bands, taught and played five-string banjo before he started singing barbershop in
2000. He lives with his wife, Beverly, and they have one son and two granddaughters. When not singing, he’s
usually riding his Harley around town.
