Annual Spring Concert
Saturday, May 24th 7:00 p.m. at the Chamber in Ben Franklin Place

The Stars annual spring concert is not too many weeks away. The Chamber, at Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive, Nepean, ON will be filled with the beautiful sounds of the Northern Stars and several quartets including our special guests:
- Polaris,
- Black Velvet,
- an octet with Black Velvet and Polaris,
- Motivation (the Ontario District spring convention collegiate representatives from eastern Ontario), and
- Mixolydian from the Capital Vocal Project (see our News page for details about this new a cappella group).

Tickets are $20 and available from any chorus member or by calling Keith at 613 838-2868.

The date is the Saturday after the May long weekend.

Join us May 24th at 7:00 p.m. in The Chamber, at Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive, Nepean, ON. We look forward to entertaining you with a new repertoire of songs and a couple of favourites from 2007. Again this year, we'll have a quartet from the Stars.

An afterglow at Chances 'R in College Square at 1365 Woodroffe Ave (at Baseline Road) has been arranged. Please join us for more songs in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. There is no admission charge for this fun-filled time.

But Found Monday Nights are Inconvenient For You?
We have the answer for your dilemma!

In the summer of 2007 we changed meeting nights to Tuesdays. Perhaps you hadn't noticed but all eastern Ontario men's choruses meet on Monday nights. Out move to Tuesdays affords
- our singers the opportunity to sing with another chorus,
- other chorus singers to sing with us and enjoy our music, and
- quartets and coaches to visit us without interrupting their chorus rehearsal times.

We meet Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m.at Bromley Road Baptist Church. The church is located at 1900 Lauder Drive, off the north side of Carling Avenue, opposite Maitland. We meet in the gymnasium on the right after you enter. The site offers free parking and is located one block north of Carling. Directions: from the Queensway, take the Maitland exit north. Cross Carling Avenue and Bromley Road is the first left - a short block north of Carling. Then right on Lauder, the second road, and around to the church and the parking lot on your left.

If you arrive and the door is locked, don't worry. Press the bell and we'll answer the intercom , open the door, and greet you warmly. The door is usually locked around 7:50 p.m. for building security purposes.

A new mixed, a cappella, four-part harmony group is starting up. If you love to sing, are under 30, and looking for a fun, enjoyable, supportive singing environment, then check out the Capital Vocal Project.

We will be singing a wide variety of music from popular new songs to the oldies. Something for everyone's taste - and more.

If you would like to be a part of this new group or would like to find out more about the Capital Vocal Project, it is holding its first meeting on Friday, February 22nd from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Gardens Centre. Follow Pinecrest Road north from the Queensway and cross Carling Avenue. Follow the road to the large parking lot at the end and the Centre is on your right.
