About Us

Sue Trenchard

Sue Trenchard has been barbershopping since 1981 when she joined the Orchard Park Sweet Adeline chapter. She was involved in the creation of the Buffalo Gateway Sweet Adeline Chapter. In 1987, she co-founded a Harmony, Inc. Chapter, Niagara Frontier Chord Authority. She has sung lead in “IMAGES” since 1987, and is proud to be an International Harmony Queen. “IMAGES” received Harmony, Inc.’s International Chris Scott Memorial Service Award twice. Many of her activities are done with her quartet, so she shares the honor of the Kay DeLong Memorial Award with them. Sue is co-director of NFCA, along with Ron Mason. She has served many offices on the NFCA Board and has been an Area 3 Council member since 1987 (first as NFCA president, then as quartet promotion coordinator, and currently, parliamentarian). She served as an advisor to Harmony Inc.’s International Board of Directors as Quartet Chairman from 1995 - 1999. She has organized two Area 3 Discover Harmony Days (Ohio and Olean, NY), and created the Harmony, Inc. guideline for Discover Harmony Days for all areas to use. In 2006, Sue was the first recipient of the newly created Area 3 Service Award. Sue enjoys coaching quartets and choruses (male and female), helping them reach their emotional best with any song they choose to sing. Most of all, Sue has always been anxious and proud to spread the spirit of Harmony to everyone, because Harmony, Inc. is such a huge part of her life. It doesn’t get any better than the combination of music, love, and friendship that spreads from coast to coast.
