August 2004                 Gerry Conner, Jay Davis, Bill Helton & Roger Fairchild informally began working together on a new song, " You Make Me Feel So Young", for the Land of Lincoln Chorus Fall Cabaret.

October 2004               Gerry, Jay, Bill and Roger performed their first public performance as a quartet from the chorus during the LOL Fall Cabaret at the St. John's Vianney Activity Center, Sherman, IL.

December 2004            Gerry, Jay, Bill and Roger began working on a variety of new songs and during the Christmas season performed, " Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", during sing-outs with the LOL Chorus.  

January 2005                After getting together on a regular basis before LOL Chorus practice and a couple of hours extra each week, it was decided that the group would officially form as a quartet. After reviewing a number of name options and verification of the availability of the name with the Barbershop Harmony Society, the quartet selected the name "Leisure Time".

February 2005              Leisure Time officially formed as a quartet and registered with the Barbershop Harmony Society.  

April 2005                     Leisure Time had its first public performance as a registered quartet performing for the "Kings Daughter's Home" at the Island Bay Yacht Club, Springfield, IL.                   

June 2005                    Leisure Time performed for the Illinois State Retired Employees Association at their monthly meeting in Springfield.                

September 2005          Leisure Time performed at the Chatham Arts Fair on the town square, Chatham, IL. 

October 2005               The quartet performed a short set during the annual LOL Chorus Fall Cabaret at the St. John's Vianney Activity Center, Sherman, IL.          

December 2005            The quartet performed at a number of functions during the month: for a recognition luncheon at the Department of Agriculture, during a number of LOL Chorus sing-outs at nursing homes, Festival of Trees and a birthday party in Springfield.

March 2006                  Leisure Time performed for a 90th birthday party at the Northfield Center, Springfield, IL.      

April 2006                    Leisure Time, Capitol Collection, Saturday Matinee and The Four Marksmen performed at the LOL Chorus Spring show, "A Fool for Love", at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, Springfield, IL.  The quartet also performed for the residence of the Barton W. Stone Nursing Home in Jacksonville, IL., and the Kings Daughter's Home in Springfield, IL.

May 2006                     The quartet performed at the Springfield High School "Barbershop Quartets Galore" with Capitol Collection, Saturday Matinee, 4 Crying Out Loud (Decatur) and the Springfield High School Barbershop Senators.

June 2006                    Leisure Time performed at the Hoogland Center for the Arts for "A Cappella Afternoon" with the Sound Celebration Chorus, Land of Lincoln Chorus, and guest quartets Simply Acappella and Main Attraction.

July 2006                     Leisure Time performed as a guest quartet at Douglas Park in Springfield, IL for the "Sing In The Park" annual free concert presented by the Land of Lincoln Chorus.

August 2006                 Leisure Time was kept extremely busy during the month with performances at; the Rochester United Methodist Church, Rochester, IL., Eastland Retirement Community, Auburn, IL, an Ice Cream Social at the Bickford House Retirement Home, Springfield, IL and an impromptu "Singing Valentine" for Don & Thelma Draper on their 55th Wedding Anniversary at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. 

September 2006           Leisure Time experienced another busy performance schedule during September with performances at; the Barton W. Stone Nursing Home in Jacksonville, IL.., the Woodbury Financial Services customer appreciation dinner at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, a reunion of  retired YMCA personnel at the Springfield Hilton, and also competed in the fall Illinois District Barbershop Quartet Competition.  The quartet finished 17th in a field of 30 competitors.

November 2006            Leisure Time, Capitol Collection, Saturday Matinee and The Four Marksmen performed at the LOL Fall Cabaret honoring all veterans of the U.S. Armed Services at the St. John's Vianney Activity Center, Sherman, IL.  The quartet also performed for the residence of the Illinois Presbyterian Home in Springfield, IL and presented a surprise 20th wedding anniversary valentine for Assistant Principle Jill Gerberding at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Springfield, IL.

December 2006            Leisure Time performed for the combined meeting of the Petersburg Women's Club and the Pierre Menard Chapter of the DAR at St. Paul's Evangelical Free Church in Petersburg, IL.  The quartet also performed at a Christmas Luncheon for the Retired Illinois State Employee's Association at Northfield Center in Springfield, IL. The quartet also performed for the residents of the Barton Stone Nursing Home in Jacksonville, IL.  Leisure Time also performed for the Sangamon County Home Extension at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield, IL.

January 2007               Leisure Time performed at the "Cabin Fever Day" at the Rochester United Methodist Church, Rochester, IL.

March 2007                  Leisure Time performed at a luncheon for Ansar Shriner Retirees at the Springfield   Motor Boat Club, Springfield, IL.

May 2007                     Leisure Time performed at the 10th Annual Central Illinois Senior Celebration held at Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield, IL.  The quartet also performed for the residents of the Golden Manor Nursing Home, Nokomis, IL. 

June 2007                    Leisure Time along with Capitol Collection were featured quartets at the Land of Lincoln Barbershop Chorus Spring Show at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, Springfield, IL.  Leisure Time also performed at the Annual Meeting of the St. John's Hospital Samaritans, Springfield, IL.

July 2007                      Leisure Time performed at the 50th Wedding Anniversary Party for Ed and Evelyn Cain at the Eagles Club, Riverton, IL

August 2007                 Leisure Time performed at the August meeting of the Bank of Springfield, Classic 50's Club, at the Signature Inn, Springfield, IL.  The quartet also performed each day at the Illinois State Fair at various location throughout the fairgrounds, Springfield, IL.

September 2007          Leisure Time performed for the residence at the Taylorville Care Center, Taylorville, IL.  The quartet also entered the IL District Barbershop Quartet Competition in Peoria, IL and finished 17th, competing against some of the best quartets in the state.

October 2007                Leisure Time performed at the CIVS (CareGivers) Annual Prayer Service at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.  The quartet gives a special thanks to Bryan Johnrud for filling in as Tenor when our regular Tenor - Gerry Conner was not able to make the performance.

November 2007            Leisure Time performed at the annual meeting of the Odd Fellows & Rebecca's held a the Crown Plaza, Springfield, IL.

December 2007            Leisure Time performed at the Retired Fiat-Allis Employees Christmas Party held at the Northfield Center in Springfield, IL.  The quartet also performed at the Springfield Electric Christmas Party held at The Inn at 835 in Springfield, IL.  The quartet along with the Land of Lincoln Chorus performed at Lewis Memorial Christian Village Apt., Oak Terrace Health Care Center, Montvale Estates, Dominican Sister's home, and the Hickory Glen Retirement Community.

March 2008                   The quartet performed for the residence of the Barton W. Stone Nursing Home in Jacksonville, IL.
