This is the 32nd year that the Knights of Harmony have selected a Barbershopper of the Year (BOTY). As in past years, the task is the responsibility of the three most recent recipients of this award. This year's committee was composed of Jim Klapp, Tom Wheeler and Matt Odell.
In 1996, a former BOTY, Jim Bush, established the criteria now used for selecting the awardee. This criteria states that the person should be a member who displays selfless work, determination and dedication, and one who has a sincere interest in promoting and preserving this hobby.
