Our Director: Denise Helbig

Denise originally joined Sweet Adelines as a teenager with the local St. Petersburg chapter.  She was active in several chapters as a member or assistant director.  In 1993 a new chapter in northern Pinellas opened and Denise was named as Director.  She took them to First Place AA Chorus in the District.

She has been in several quartets, two of which won the State Championship.  She is currently in a new quartet, Outrageous and will be competing in the State Competition.

She has been very active with Sweet Adelines at the Florida Regional Level as a member of the Education Faculty and Director Coordinator on the Regional Management Team.

In addition to coaching other quartets and choruses, she also spearheads the state-wide Youth Harmony Workshop Program for the Region and travels throughout the state as a clinician providing  accapella seminars to high school students statewide.

Denise is happily marred to Arne, an award winning barbershopper in his own right.  They have two boys, Paul, who is already singing in a quartet and Daniel.  Denise owns a Real Estate and Property Management company.
