May 12th, 2004:

President's comments: Bob Parker congratulated Editor, Tom Koch, for the third place showing of the Pitchburgh Press in the JAD bulletin editor of the year competition. Sufficient information was submitted to satisfy the SWOT analysis. The Apple Corp fee has increased $10 this year, enrollment is limited to 288 and air-conditioned dorms will not be available. There is a new password to the "members-only" section of our web site (check with Webmaster, Bernie Sinwell).

Improvement is needed in chapter communication regarding sing-out details. All members (including non-attenders) should be included on the phone tree. We will not be sponsoring students for Harmony Camp this year. For our sing-out at the Humane Society, TV stations will be contacted.

John Powers suggested that we sing for the larger groups that bought tickets to our show. Our picnic is scheduled for August 2lst. We're also invited to Metro's picnic. Bob Parker suggested an additional "guy's only" picnic. A committee chairman is needed for the Christmas party.

Tom Steimer, presented the Treasurer's report. The financial review found the books to be in order; 2003 revenue was insufficient to warrant a tax return; The District clearance needs to be paid for next year. ASCAP fees will be a minimum of $l83 for the year as we only have one show

VP Music & Performance, Joe Veltre, reported two songs will be added to our repertoire this year; Hello, Mary Lou and an old arrangement of Danny Boy.
