Bob Cavanaugh
President, Bob Cavanaugh

For year 2006, we have a new "Bob The Builder" president. Following the two year term of Bob "the Builder" Parker, we have now elected Bob "The Builder" Cavanaugh. One of Bob Cavanaugh's first actions was to get himself off to COTS (Chapter Operations Training Seminar) on January 14, 2006, to learn some of the ropes of being president

Also attending COTS, with Bob, were Fred Donofrio, new VP, Chapter Development; Skip Gillis, new VP, Music & Performance; George Mayer, new Treasurer and Bob Parker, immediate past-president (board member) and new Area Counselor.

New President Cavanaugh provided the following statement to your editor:

"Just recently got back from COTS... we are full of ideas and paperwork. We [officers and board] will try to put into practice, all that we have learned.

Speaking of learning, we need to get to the CD's and get that show music in our heads, no excuse.

By the way, while at COTS I found out that we have a chapter counselor, Kenny Williams [from South Hills Chapter] and he promises to help out our chapter.

The show ads will be handled by Jim Campbell with help from Don Anderson and Fred Donofrio so start thinking about getting out and selling those ads.

Also, the show flyers will be available shortly and we need to get them out into everyone's hands.

We will have a great show and you are supposed to be part of it!"

We all need to get behind Bob and help in any way possible. There are many challenges and problems ahead, and remember, if you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem!
