2004 LADIES NIGHT

Pittsburgh Chapter held it's annual ladies night and installation of officers at the Churchill Valley Country Club on Dec 12, 2004. First off, a tip of the hat to Tom Steimer and Bill McVeagh as co-chairmen for planning and bringing off a very enjoyable evening.

Following a great meal and a period of general socializing, we proceeded to the officer installation ceremony. Chapter counselor, Steve Wyszomiersi and his lovely wife Beth were in attendance so Steve could do the honors.

Steve did a very interesting installation using miniature flashlights to illustrate a point. At first they would not light as they were missing power due to the lack of batteries. The power was to be provided by the officers and board. Things lit up after appropriate power was provided.

Following the officer installation, our awards chairman, Lou Vlahos, took over the podium to handle the presentation of some chapter awards for the year 2004.

The first award went to George Mayer who was presented with the "Good Joe" award for 2004.

The next two awards were the "Unsung Hero" awards for 2004 which went to Tom Koch and Joe DeFilippo.

As part of the evening, President Bob Parker, gave his re-election inaugural address. Not to be outdone, "first lady" Darlene Parker showed off her New Orleans red boa.
