Our Master Director, Claire Domenick

Above all else, Claire Domenick wants her singers to have the time of their lives. Whether directing her own Greater Harrisburg Chorus or coaching quartets and choruses, Claire exudes a warmth and energy that bring out the best in every voice.

Claire has shared her charisma and talent with the Greater Harrisburg Chorus since January, 1999. In October 2006, she made her directing debut on Sweet Adelines' biggest stage in the International Chorus Semifinals, and led the chorus to a top-20 worldwide ranking. She has directed Greater Harrisburg to the 2007 regional championship, 2005 regional chorus championship, five silver regional medals and two top-five finishes at the Buckeye Invitational. As a result of its win in 2007, the chorus will represent Region 19 in Sweet Adelines' International competition in Honolulu, Hawaii, in November 2008.

After just one year at the helm, Claire attained the coveted title Master Director for leading Greater Harrisburg into the elite of our organization. She serves on the regional education team, directed the 2006 regional quartet chorus, has been published in Sweet Adelines' magazine "The Pitch Pipe" and is a highly sought-after coach of choruses and quartets.

Claire has been an active performer all her life. As a youngster, she and her sisters sang in “The Busy Bees” quartet, which performed all over the United States and even was featured on “The Ted Mack Amateur Hour."

In Sweet Adelines, Claire won an International Chorus gold medal with Valley Forge Chorus in 1983. She is a six-time regional quartet champion, and enjoyed a year-long stint as tenor with Signature Sound, the 2000 International Quartet Champions. She sings today with the 2007 regional quartet champion, The Fource, which represents the Greater Harrisburg and Harbor City Music Company. The Fource placed in the top 20 at Sweet Adelines' International contest in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in October 2007 and will compete in November, Honolulu in 2008.

Claire and her husband, Tony, reside in Malvern, Pa. They have four children and two very lively granddaughters.
