Ink cartridge recycling program
What it is:
This is a Fair Share project for members of Greater Harrisburg Chorus.
Greater Harrisburg gets cash for each ink cartridge we recycle thru this program. Inkjet cartridges bring up to $4 each and laser cartridges will bring in from $1 to $12 apiece.
We even can recycle digital cell phones! Those will fetch $2.50 each. Who has old cell phones lying around? You'd be amazed. Just ask around.
What do we do?
1. Save your empty printer cartridges. Not all cartridges qualify for the program. Contact Cheri for a list of acceptable cartridges.
Consider putting out a box at your workplace, health club, etc. Computers are everywhere nowadays, and that means so are empty ink cartridges. Check with the computer geeks at your workplace and see if you can have their empties. You have nothing to lose by asking.
2. Bring cartridges to rehearsal on Tuesday and give them to Cheri. Make sure to mark the ones you turn in and keep a record so you get your full credit. Different cartridges have different values, so just remember not all will earn top dollar. But every one accepted will earn something.
Unmarked cartridges will be considered a gift to the chorus -- thank you!
3. Sit back and relax. Cheri will take it from there! (Applause!)
