October 7th, 2007. Family Affair places 3rd at the Mid Atlantic District Contest in Wildwood, NJ. On saturday night October 7th, Family Affair achieved one of its goals by placing third in the District Contest. Our hard work and sacrifices finally paid off. Not only did we place 3rd, we averaged a 76.0 which is the qualifying score for International. We are excited about our first of what we hope are many accomplished goals. That being said, we'd like to thank a few individuals without them, we would have not accomplished those goals. First and foremost, John Ward. John has been our primary coach and has done some amazing things with us. Second, Fred Womer. Fred has just started working with the quartet, but we've hit it off and he's become an extension of us. John and Fred are both wonderful coaches and if you ever need a coach, please call on them, you won't be disappointed. Finally Sean Devine. Sean was in Wildwood with O C Times and was gracious enough to walk us through the pattern on friday night. Sean is a class act and another wonderful coach. Finally I'd like to say thank you to our families. I know that the month preceding the contest were tough on you, but thank you for allowing us to do what we love. We hope we made you proud. Family Affair is going to continue to work hard and we hope to represent the district at the International Contest in Nashville in July. NASHVILLE OR BUST!!!!
