Come
join us in a song!
Guests are welcome on most Tuesday nights of the year, but sometimes we have public performances on Tuesdays. Please call ahead, Tim McEvilly at (630) 881-1846, to confirm that we are meeting on a particular Tuesday.
The Chorus of DuPage, an all-male barbershop chorus, is seeking new members and is holding an open house every Tuesday evening. Drop by, take a listen, meet the chorus members and find out if you would like to sing with us. No obligation and it’s free! For information on how to join, go to the Join Us page.
The Chorus of DuPage, representing the DuPage Valley Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA), meets from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington Street in Naperville IL. (from roughly late August until May 31st, or at the Naperville Community Concert Center during the summer)
Do you like the sound of A Cappella harmony? Want to learn?
The chorus is looking for men who can sing any of the four parts in barbershop harmony - tenor, lead, baritone and bass. No experience or formal vocal training is required, a good musical ear helps and as a member, you'll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best vocal instructors in the world.
The chorus sings barbershop harmony, which permits men of all
ages to combine their voices in exciting four-part, A Cappella,
close-harmony singing. The leads carry the melody, while the tenors
harmonize above the melody, the basses sing the lowest notes and the
baritones complete the chords. The Barbershop Harmony Society, with
31,000 members in the United States and Canada, is the world's
largest all-male singing society. Find out more about our society at
our Barbershop Links page.
