Christmas show in the castle forecourt. Peter Marks stepped in to help the Dapper Dans in a time of need. Tom Howe was attending to his wife who was in the hospital and had to miss some of these forecourt shows. 18 year old Peter Marks was working in one of the toy shops while attending college and in R.O.T.C. Peter grew up around barbershop and had sung with the Dapper Dans at some chapter meetings. When the emergency situation arose, arrangements were made to rehearse Peter and outifit him in Bob Mathis' old suit. Peter sang, danced and played the chimes for the remainder of time that Tom was off, approximately 2 weeks. Peter later became an Air Force instructor pilot.
