Rick has a Master of Fine Arts degree and taught voice and musical theater at Saddleback College in the 1980s. Rick began his Disneyland career making pancakes for Aunt Jemima in 1967. In 1969 he moved to merchandising in Merlin's Magic Shop. He began working with the Dapper Dans as a substitute in 1974 and eventually became a permanent member. After singing with the Dapper Dans from about 1974 to 1984 and then again from 1986 to 1988, Rick moved to northern California to teach and to enjoy acting in musicals and plays.
