Late September, 1966. Marquis of John Ascuaga’s The Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada, outside of Reno. The success of the TV show catapulted the Mickie Finn act with the Dapper Dans to the road for 6 months. They did 2 weeks at this famed resort, then immediately went to the main showroom at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas from October 6 - 26, 1966, where they had packed houses. Andy Williams had opened Caesar's Palace, Victor Borge was 2nd, and Mickie Finn was 3rd. Mickie Finn's had the #1 act on the strip, outdrawing their predecessor, Victor Borge, and were followed by Jack Benny, whom Jim Schamp remembers seeing in the audience one night. They also performed at the prestigious Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles.
