Promotional photo for the Mickie Finn club. Jim Wheeler (took Ron Browne’s place when Ron retired) was only one in the quartet who had not sung at Disneyland with the Dapper Dans. The stage show was choreographed and directed by Alex Plasschaert. A few years earlier in 1964, the Dapper Dans’ manager Val Hicks had hooked the Dappers up with Alex, an accomplished Broadway dancer and choreographer. Alex worked closely with the Dapper Dans as their choreograper and devised their visual routines which they carried over to their performances at Disneyland. Some of those routines are still used by today’s Dapper Dans. Alex was also a choreographer for the Osmond Brothers.
