John Borneman was from Indiana where he majored in Opera at I.U. In his Phi Gamma Delta fraternity he sang in a quartet, Fiji Four (their baritone later became Governor O'Bannon of Indiana.) He did summer stock theatre in Cape Cod, Massachussetts in 1952 where he knew dancer Lee Remick and also met his future fellow Dapper Dan T.J. Marker who was with the Fred Waring organization. In 1959 Borneman also had some bit parts on the TV soap opera The Edge of Night. For over 33 years he has traveled the country lecturing for the Audobon Society, specializing in bird migration. He also is a tenor with the Ventura County Master Chorale
