Sweet Adelines International is a membership organization of female singers, who meet regularly to practice, socialize and have fun. Active members belong to a chorus, and some members create and sing in quartets. Sweet Adelines’ choruses and quartets perform in public and may compete at regional and international levels.
Region 16 of the Sweet Adelines International barbershop-style acappella organization is rich with talent and celebrates two countries united by four-part harmony. Geographically, members are separated by the USA/Canadian borders; 60% of our membership is Canadian and 40% American. Region 16 is the largest in the worldwide Sweet Adeline organization from a membership perspective, with approximately 1,500 members in 33 choruses. Our Region remains committed to developing excellence in singers while promoting the musical art form of barbershop harmony.
