CC 512 – TTBB,  This is set in a somewhat free gospel style with some improvisational opportunities.  The melody is in the second tenor voice.  (3 to 5)  Same as CC 312

 

Battle Hymn Of The Republic

CC 514 – SATB,  This very dramatic setting demands mature, full voices.  A grandiose ending brings the music to a stunning close.   (3 to 5)  Same as CC 131

 

I’m Just A Poor Wayfaring Stranger

CC 513 – SATB,  This setting of the song has numerous features that your choir will enjoy.  Contemporary harmonies in keeping with the message of the text.  (3 to 5)  Same as CC 134

 

In The Bleak Midwinter

CC 509 – SATB,  A setting of the popular melody and text by Gustav Holst.  It’s found in almost every hymnal.  Contains some unusual modern harmonies that are a joy to sing.   (3 to 5)  Same as CC 137

CC 505 - An easy arrangement of this well known hymn. (1 to 3)
 

Oh, Thou From Whom All Goodness Flows

CC 501 – SATB,  A rather unusual setting in which the music develops in the manner of a set of variations.  Contrapuntal with contemporary harmonies.  (4 to 5)  Same as CC 128

 

Pretty Little Jesus

CC 508 – SATB,  This traditional spiritual is perfect for Christmas season performance.  Slightly contemporary, but very accessible harmonies.  The middle section features a tenor section solo (or a single voice ) with choir.   (2 to 3)

 

Rejoice And Be Merry

CC 502 – SATB,  This traditional English Christmas text is set to new music in a distinctly contemporary harmonic style making extensive use of changing meters.  Incorporates a contrapuntal refrain “Gloria in excelsis Deo.”  An exciting, joyous and challenging piece.   (4 to 5)  Same as CC 132

 

Shine On Me

CC 506 – SATB,  This 19th century hymn by B. B. McKinney is rarely heard today.  The three verse settings progress from a simple hymn style to a gospel influenced, highly contrapuntal setting with opportunities for vocal improvisation.   (3 to 5)  Same as CC 139

 

Winter

CC 503 – SATB,  This text, adapted from one by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, is sometimes called "A Winter Carol".  Ideal for the cold days of winter.  (2 to 3)  Same as CC 142

 

Wondrous Love

CC 504 – SATB,  This setting of “Wondrous Love” is quite untraditional.  It is an increasingly complex set of 5 variations on the original melody and harmonies.  Highly contrapuntal with contemporary harmonies.  (3 to 5)  Same as CC 153

 

Worthy Art Thou To Be Praised

CC 510 – SATB,  This celebratory text is set in a straightforward contrapuntal style.  At times there are mildly dissonant contemporary harmonies.   (3 to 5)  Same as CC 149
