A Board of Directors
includes these officers: President, Executive VP &
Chief Educator, VP of Marketing & Public Relations, Secretary, Manager/Treasurer,
and Immediate Past President. There are also five at-large
members. The Board may create additional officer positions as long as the
total number of elective voting positions on the Board does not exceed 11.
The Board is elected democratically at the annual General
Meeting of members during SPEBSQSA's International Convention. All membership and financial records are compiled for and reported at our General Meeting. All financial records are filed with SPEBSQSA, Inc., and all proposed changes to AHSOW's Bylaws must be approved by SPEBSQSA before taking effect. In September 1995, the Ancient Harmonious Society of Woodshedders, Inc. became a nonprofit Texas corporation. The Board of AHSOW, Inc. is committed to a quality certification program (continually under review) that reserves our group for good ear-singers while adding even more fun to Barbershopping.
