Kim Hulbert Master Director, The San Diego Chorus, Sweet Adelines International
Hulbert's talents lie not only in her directing and teaching skills but also in her performance accomplishments. She sings lead in the current First Place International quartet, a cappella Gold. She has won the coveted "International Queen of Harmony" title three times-- once in 1976 with High Society, again in 1988 with SAVVY and on September 22, 2000 won for the third time with A Cappella Gold . Winning the title and wearing the crown are the highest honors given within the Sweet Adelines International Organization. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at Claremont Graduate University, Pomona, Hulbert is also a sound judge in Sweet Adelines International and coaches quartets and choruses worldwide.
Tim McCormic
Tim McCormic has over 20 years of experience in the barbershopping community. He is a member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. (the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America), a large organization of men dedicated to the promotion of barbershop harmony.
Tim directed Willamette Sound Chorus for four years, leading them to win the Regional Championship each time they competed in the Regional Contest. Tim has directed a local men's chorus, Vocal Gentry, to District Championship, and his quartets, High Rollers and Golden Heritage, won Championships as well! He has coached several regional quartets and choruses.
