part) employing the vocal /voice profile check;
3.
Submit a completed membership
application and a check for membership dues to the Membership Vice President;
4.
Be approved for membership by the
chapter board of directors.
Dues for the organization are approx. $125 each year. The dues structures
are available from the Membership Vice President. There are also installment
plans for membership dues, please see the Membership Vice President for more
information.
Sometime during your first visit, a voice profile exercise will be conducted
with one of the assistant directors. This check will be made to establish your
singing musical ability and the comfortable range of your voice.
If you will make your intentions known to either the greeter, Membership V.P.
or the section leader, you will be put in touch with one of the voice profile
men who will work with you in private. The profile check is informal and
painless and should take less than two minutes of your time.
VOCAL/VOICE PROFILE

Unless you have experience with Barbershop and or
choral singing ( and know definitely which part you'd like to sing), a voice
profile will be run at the earliest convience, to
determine which part you should be singing.
The Membership V.P. or greeter will put you in touch with one of our Voice Profile men who will take you aside and have you sing a chromatic scale (or reasonable facsimile). From this little exercise (done in private) he will determine which of the parts he feels you will be most comfortable in and seat you in that section
