About Us

The Suncoast Chorus is a male a cappella chorus. Although specializing in the barbershop style of music, it includes most of the genres of music styles in its repertoire. Our chorus is under direction by Jeff Lathom and Bill Billings, Jr., both experienced Barbershop Harmony Society members. Our assistant director is Clare McCreary

It has a long and proud history. We have represented our district five times at the International contest. Only eight chapters in the district have gone to International as representatives, and there are over 35 chapters in the district!

The Suncoast Chorus is only one part of the St. Petersburg Chapters activities, and membership in the Chapter does not include membership in the Suncoast Chorus. Membership in the chorus is a privilege!

Our quartets and/or chorus are available for your business functions. OUR POLICY

We accept all males of good character who like to sing, or just listen to good music.
Membership in the chapter does not automatically imply membership in the performing chorus (Suncoast Chorus). The Suncoast Chorus has a performing standard that must be earned by the membership.

We are not a “chorus chapter”. There are many opportunities to sing other than in the performing chorus.

We encourage quartetting.
