It is a unique sound that catches the attention of young and old alike. Listeners can’t quite determine how the singers do it but they are captivated by that magical sound. We are talking about the sound of barbershop harmony. The musical arrangements are always sung a cappella, (without musical accompaniment), and bring a feeling to the listener unlike any other form of musical performance. Thankfully, this indigenous American art form is alive and well in our community today!

The St. Petersburg Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, also known as SPEBSQSA , has been performing for Pinellas County Florida communities for more than 55 years.
