PROBE Membership
Easy to doYou can become a member of PROBE by sending dues ($10 US) to:PROBE Dick Girvin 34888 Lyn Ave Hemet, CA USA 92545
PROBE membership is a legitimate chapter expense, so you can have your chapter secretary sign you up by contacting Dick Girvin, or you can sign yourself up by sending the $10 annual dues to the above address. In October, your chapter secretary sends Kenosha a list of officers for the following year. If you wish PROBE membership, it can simply be marked on the submission to Kenosha. It's as simple as that. No, although PROBE is an all volunteer organization associated with and supported by SPEBSQSA, you don't have to be a member of the Society to join. Since Sweet Adelines International and Harmony Incorporated have no direct equivalent of PROBE, we welcome our sisters in harmony (and anyone else interested).
RewardingMembership brings you, among other things, our very fine quarterly bulletin, PROBEmoter. PROBEmoter has news and tips for Public Relations Officers and Bulletin Editors. After all, that's our name! In the year you join you will receive all issues of PROBEmoter for the year.
CheapTen bucks! Some time ago the Society decided to make PROBE self supporting with dues. We've done that, without an increase in dues for years and years. This has to be one of the greatest bargains in the barbershop world!(NOTE: Although recent discussions/decisions resulted in that long delayed increase beginning in 2002, the above is still true. Ten dollars is quite a bargain in this day and age.)
Need more information? You can go to the Probe Structure page on this website and contact any of the people listed. If you don't know any of them, good people to contact for additional information would be President Lowell Shank or Secretary/Treasurer Dick Girvin. Both are knowledgeable and will be happy to respond to any questions you might have.
