Welcome to our web site. We sing music in the Barbershop style. We're a registered quartet with the Barbershop Quartet Society (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.,Inc.) in the Pioneer District.
The quartet features Jim Kunz, tenor, Jay Peterson, Lead, Herb Hebner, Bass, and Steve Sutherland, baritone. We hail from Southeastern Michigan. Jim lives in Bloomfield Hills, Jay in Lathrup Village, Herb in Westland, and Steve in Canton.
Our quartet is active in the leadership of the 
Gentlemen Songsters Chorus, serving in musical and administrative leadership roles in that group.
Our tenor, Jim, is serving on the Board of Directors as the Music Vice-President and is the tenor section leader. He owns a software development and consulting business, KL&A located in Lathrup Village. Jim is the man that keeps us in tune by making sure we always start in the correct key. Jim is the owner of our only pitch pipe!
Our lead, Jay, has been the treasurer of the Gentlemen Songsters and is the lead section leader for the chorus. Jay is the Accounting Manager of Michigan CAT in Novi, Michigan.
Our bass, Herb, is serving on the Board of Directors as the President, our in-house stage presence coordinator, and is the bass section leader. Herb works for RPM Industries which makes lubrication systems for diesel engines.
Our baritone, Steve, is the Musical Director of the Gentlemen Songsters. He teaches computer elective classes at Meads Mill Middle School in Northville, Michigan.
