Kristi Conner, Baritone. Kristi is a dyed-in-the-wool barbershop brat, the daughter of Cindy Shook, master director of the Queen Charlotte Chorus. She could hardly wait 'til she was old enough to join the chorus, and at age 16 she was in her first quartet. She's been quartetting ever since, garnering top honors in the Rising Star International Quartet Competition in 2002 with "Voice Activated". She's still upset they don't give out crowns to the winners!
With a degree under her belt, Kristi went on to nursing school, and now she's an RN working in Lincolnton. She and hubby, Eric (he's a hunk!) live on the historic Conner family farm outside Lincolnton.
Karen Foster, Lead. Karen has been a diva-in-training practically her entire life, starting out with running for pricess of the first grade! She began singing solos at an early age, sang in her junior high and high school choruses, and has sung the National Anthem for an NBA basketball game or two.

Aside from her quartet duties, Karen performs as a front-row member of Queen Charlotte Chorus, while her alter ego performs with a local rock band, "String Theory". Hmmm... wouldn't that make her a "Double Diva"?
A retired Master Sergeant with the NC Air National Guard, she's now a student at Central Piedmont Community College, studying for a business degree. This "motorcycle mama" and her husband, Chris (he's a hunk!), live near Lake Norman with quite an eclectic collection of pooches.
Cathy Chauncy , Bass. Cathy also had "diva" inspirations growing up. She was a runner-up in the Miss Rutherford County beauty pageant (and no, we won't tell you what year!), and was captain of her high school cheerleading squad. We would tell you about her involvement with the US Secret Service, but maybe that ought to remain a secret.

The "brainiac" took the fast track through college, graduating with a double major in only three years. During the week, Cathy and husband David (he's a hunk!) operate a copier supply business, but most weekends you'll have to go north to Virginia to find them at their mountain getaway, aka "quartet retreat central".
Tera Rockett, Tenor. Tera began singing in Sweet Adelines as a baritone. But in just a few months she thought better of it and switched to tenor. Good thing, too, because the quartet would sound a little weird with two baritones! She says that, "Singing with Just 4 Grins is the best fun I've ever had and still kept my clothes on! Where else can you have four best friends who love to sing and shop!"

Tera's the sole quartet member representing the Carolina Style Chorus, where she's a tenor co-section leader, makeup/costume chairperson, past show co-chair and member of the music/audition team. When not singing, Tera is an insurance agent and lives in Newton with her car-nut husband, Bruce (he's a hunk!)
