Harmony in Motion is a Chapter of Harmony Incorporated, an international non-profit organization of enthusiastic women singers, devoted to the art of acappella, barbershop style singing.
-
Barbershop Harmony is unaccompanied four-part harmony, with the "lead" voice singing the melody. The "tenor" part is customarily sung above the lead. The "bass" sings in the lowest part of the vocal register, while the "baritone" fills in between the other parts to complete the chord in close four part harmony. A pitch pipe is used to establish tonality - to sound the key note before each song.
-
The chorus is a local Chapter of Harmony, Inc, an international organization formed to promote studying and performing vocal harmony "barbershop style".
