Paul Harris (tenor), Keith Harris (lead), Mark McLaurin (baritone) and Gordon Moe (bass) are Das Rheingold. Formed in April of 1997 with the halves of two past Land O' Lakes District Champion quartets, this quartet is focused on having fun by singing barbershop music well.

The name Das Rheingold is taken from the Wagner opera, Das Rheingold (The Ring of Gold), which is part of Wagner's Ring Cycle.

Meet the Members

Paul Harris (tenor) is a freshman at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin, and youngest member of the quartet. He is also one of the three youngest Society members (age 12) to win a District quartet contest; he is joined by Tony DeRosa (Keepsake) and David Harrington (Second Edition). Paul sang tenor in Family Ties, 91 LOL Quartet Champions and sings baritone in the 1997 MBNA Collegiate Champion Quartet Freefall.

Keith Harris (lead) is busy studying opera at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Guess who got to pick the quartet's name? Keith Harris sang lead in Family Ties, 91 LOL Quartet Champions and sings bass in the 1997 MBNA Collegiate Champion Quartet Freefall.

Mark McLaurin is the celebrity in the quartet. He lives in East Grand Forks, Minnesota and SURVIVED the FLOOD! He is the choir director at East Grand Forks High School and directs a Sweet Adeline chorus in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Mark sang baritone in the 1992 LOL Quartet Champion quartet People's Choice.

Gordon Moe (bass) is our contact man. This was a natural choice since he is the Manager of Music Organizations at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. He promotes the college's music ensembles so we let him promote us. Gordon sang bass in the 1992 LOL Quartet Champion quartet People's Choice.

Das Rheingold is committed to performing excellent barbershop music. If you are interested in booking the quartet, please contact Gordon as follows.
