Lennon By Lennon
A Very Special Offer

Rare prints by Cynthia Lennon

We are honored to be able to offer these exclusively for Applause Show supporters.
A Supporter of the Applause Show has donated EIGHT SIGNED
copies of this set and they are available NOW.

Each print has been numbered and signed by Cynthia, John Lennon's first wife.
This is an incredible way to support the show and acquire a very rare art object.

These rare color, "archival quality", lithograph sets are
part of a
never-released limited edition.  They are being made
available to
the public for the first time. These 4-portrait collections
are lithographs of four paintings done
by Cynthia Lennon as a
gift to their son Julian on the 20th anniversary of John’s death.
The
portraits depict John as Cynthia knew him in
1963, 1965, 1967, and her final memory of him in
 1980,
11 years after they had parted.  After she produced the original
paintings, Cynthia
entered into an agreement to produce a
Limited Edition of the prints for sale.

Recently, the Publisher of "Beatology" Magazine, the magazine
dedicated to the
current news and activities of people who
like the Beatles,
wrote that they could issue a "Certificate of
Authenticity"
for the sets after researching and verifying
the same
information you are viewing

Originally a Limited Edition of 4950 sets were to be made.
Only 300 sets were produced
from the original commission.
The balance of the 4950 sets were never produced.
The
sets were to be offered through a major New York upscale
retailer (the original price
stickers are on each set).
These sets have never been offered for sale to the general
public.
Each set comes with an 11-page narrative booklet detailing
the history of the
four portraits and Cynthia’s commentary on
her relationship with The Beatles, John and
Julian. In addition,
the booklet authenticates the portraits were published by
Napier Jones
to “the Fine Arts Trade Guild Standards, using
chlorine-free, ph neutral, archival quality
paper with light fast inks.”
Of the original 300 sets, 75 sets were actually signed by Ms. Lennon
and 90 unsigned sets were retained by the artist and the production company.
Only these eight signed sets are available to the Applause Show listeners at this time.
Each portrait measures 10 ½” x 15 ½” with the Liver Bird

Water mark which has long been regarded as the symbol of
Liverpool.  The set of four is handsomely presented in a 13”x 18”
linen quality hard cover paper-overlay box.  On the front of the
box, in silver print, are the words “John Lennon by Cynthia Lennon”
along with the Liver Bird marking.  Each box has a black satin ribbon
inside which is used to lift the prints untouched.
