What's New?
This page is where you
can find out all the latest happenings with the Afterthought Quartet. All
of the news, announcements, epiphanies and useless pieces of information
regarding Afterthought can be found here and will be updated as often as
possible.
June 2005 Chris and Brandee are proud to announce that their family will be a little larger in the near future! A new bundle of joy will join the household by Christmas 2005. No word on the sex of the baby yet, but if it is a boy, Peyton and Chris will then be ¾ of the way to a new quartet…3/5 of the way to a basketball team…3/11 of the way to a football team…Heck, they have more people than they need to be a world-class yacht captain. (WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES THAT MEAN???!!!) Congratulations to the Wood Family! |

March 2005 A new web site and a new Domain (AfterThoughtQuartet.com) - all part of larger new happenings throughout the Barbershop Society. Our Web Master
has done a nice job on this site. He said he'll do it for a song
- Literally! So, we're going to meet up with him in Salt Lake City,
Utah during the BHS International Convention in July. This site is
worthy of lots of singing, don't you think? This
is just fantastic! Thanks, Lyle! |

Crowned Quartet
Grand Champions at Midwest Barbershop Showcase
Afterthought was honored to receive an invitation to the Midwest
Barbershop Showcase in Galesburg, IL. The annual event was held
on August 6-8,
and brought together top district quartets from the Cardinal, Central
States, Illinois, Land ‘o Lakes and various regions from SAI.
The quartets wandered the historic downtown district during the day
on Saturday and that night Afterthought was honored to open for the
incomparable Gas House Gang. The next day the invited quartets competed
against one another in front of a panel of certified BHS and SAI
judges and after the scores were tabulated, Afterthought was crowned
Quartet Grand Champion! It was a wonderful event and Afterthought
cannot wait until they can return to Galesburg next year to defend
their title.

August 2004 The 2002 Cardinal District Champion Quartet, Afterthought has undergone some dramatic changes over the past 6 months. None more dramatic than the difficult decision to make a personnel change. After 2 1/2 years, Sean Maloney, the original tenor of Afterthought moved to South Bend to continue his schooling. After much conversation and deliberation, and due to an increasing school schedule, Sean would step down as the tenor of Afterthought. As difficult of a decision as it was to make, Warren, Chris and Jeremy would like to thank Sean and his wife Jess for many wonderful memories and to wish them the best of luck in the next leg of their journey. |
